Founder icandif.org - Shua
My name is Shua, (you can pronounce it like Na-shua or Jo-shua, just leave the Na or Ja) and I am the founder and host of a podcast called lightupwithshua. A weekly podcast on conscious living and parenting. I do cover other themes such as intercultural and interfaith relations.
Why I do what I do? When I was growing up, I had friends from Italy, France, Pakistan,Lebanon, , Greek, America, and other Arab countries. I knew what an authentic home made pasta and meat sauce taste like, I knew how stuffed grape leaves, cheese burger, and pizza looks and taste like.
I am also the founder of Intercultural and Interfaith Organization. I, along with Co-founder, Shaan Hameed Khan, conceived the idea of an intercultural and interfaith calendar. The Calendar is in its third year of publishing. This year the theme is regional.
I am the Executive Board Member of Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries (CMM)and the President of Groton Interfaith Council (GIC).

The painting below consists of a water-color background and hand drawn calligraphy. Islam and Judaism are represented by the colors green and blue respectively. The way the colors merge at some places and are distinctly separate at others, embodies the similarities and differences that exist between these two great Faiths. It also reflects the coexistence of both in a single space. The calligraphic style employed is a unique blend of the refined strokes characteristic of Hebrew calligraphy and the bold lines of Arabic calligraphy. The gold in the painting represents the Goldziher Prize, whose message stands for great value in a World that is divided.
